Accidents Reports from Lloyd

The accident report for the month of January has reportedly been compiled by Lloyd. The report comprises of five vessels that have involved in various incidents such as grounding, engine failure, faulty pipelines etc.

1. MSC Seattle (IMO 9285689, dwt 93728)

On January 23, the vessel ‘MSC Seattle’ reportedly ran into mechanical failure when travelling through the North Sea. The issue was fixed by the crew members and the vessel resumed its journey.

2. Tomini Sincerity (IMO 9632806, dwt 57000)

On January 20, the vessel ‘Tomini Sincerity’ ran into mechanical failure off Namaqua, ZA, South Atlantic. After running into issues the vessel was reportedly anchored and was fixed by crew before resuming its journey to Cape Town.

3. Shorei (MMSI 431007895, flag Japan)

On January 22, the vessel ‘Shorei’ reportedly ran aground in Kanmon and was anchored. The crew members with the assistance of tow boats were able to refloat the vessel in an hour and resumed its journey.

4. Nave Equinox (IMO 9351634, dwt 50922)

On January 23, the vessel ‘Nave Equinox’ reportedly ran into engine failure when transiting through the Bosphorus strait. The vessel were anchored at Bakirkoy anchorage, Marmara sea. As on January 25, there vessel was reportedly found anchored to the anchorage.

5. Mekhanik Yartsev (IMO 8904367, dwt 2650)

On January 22, the vessel ‘Mekhanik Yartsev’ reportedly ran into engine failure caused by a faulty fuel pipe shortly after leaving Southampton, English Canal. The issue was immediately fixed by the crew members and it resumed its journey towards Warrenpoint. However, on January 23, the vessel’s journey was interrupted due to reasons unknown and is currently anchored in Lyme Bay.
