JMU To Build LNG Bunker Vessel

  • Japan Marine United (JMU) will construct a new LNG bunkering ship.

  • The vessel will have an LOA of 95.57 metres, a width of 15.8 metres, a draught of 4.4 metres, and a total cargo tank capacity of 4,100 tonnes of LNG.

Japan Marine United (JMU) will construct a new LNG bunkering ship, reports Baird Maritime as per a contract, reports Baird Maritime.

The Project

The LNG Bunkering ship will also be capable of carrying low-sulphur fuel oil. JMU has overseen the conceptual design and will construct the vessel in co-operation with Fukuoka Shipbuilding and Philippines-based AG&P.

About the Vessel

The vessel will have an LOA of 95.57 metres, a width of 15.8 metres, a draught of 4.4 metres, and a total cargo tank capacity of 4,100 tonnes of LNG. It will be utilised in a planned project that will provide LNG bunkering services for ships in Tokyo Bay.
