A new terminal in the port of Hirtshals, Denmark is operational and also can bunker liquefied natural gas (LNG).  It is a facility developed by Fjord Line, which runs two LNG-fuelled ferries.  This port is also built with a capacity of 500 cubic meters tank to store alternative marine fuel.  This new facility which is open to other ships will add strength to one of the most trafficked sailing routes.  Also, it is an indication of Fjord Line’s expansion of commercial foundation in the development of LNG supply for ships.

Fjord Line’s two ferries ply between Bergen, Stavanger and Hirtshals and also between Langesund and Hirtshals.
