Sailor’s Society Announces First Fund Raiser Event In Greece

Athenaeum InterContinental Athens’ Ballroom will be the venue for the first ever fundraiser event on the 15th of October 2015, organised in Greece.

In keeping with IMO’s theme for the year, this event will highlight the society’s first ever Greek maritime scholarship programme for aspiring seafarers.

The agenda for the festivities are- drinks reception at the foyer followed by a silent auction to raise funds for marine scholarship programmes, dinner and live music.  The maritime scholarships on offer are in collaboration with many training colleges including in Singapore, Philippines and the UK.  This will be the first time the charity will provide maritime students with scholarships in Greece.

The partaking companies look forward to enhancing and build better business networks.  Acropolis Chartering, Aspida, JLJ Maritime S.A, Athens and Chios Navigation will be the main sponsors for the event.
