Tanker and Bulk Carrier Collided Off Singapore, Oil Leak

On Aug 17, a product tanker and a bulk carrier collided in the evening at Singapore Straits entrance, South China Sea.

Tanker was en route from Qatar to Taiwan, bulk carrier was en route from Muara Berau Indonesia to Singapore. Both vessels sustained damages, oil leak reported. The magnitude of leak and the extent of damages yet to be assessed.

Both vessels were brought to anchor for investigation. Clean up was reportedly under way.
