[Watch] Odense Canal Blocked by Grounding

On November 21, the Odense Canal was blocked after a vessel reportedly ran aground while entering the port.

What happened?

The cargo vessel ‘Arklow Valour’ reportedly ran aground and blocked the traffic from entering the Odense Canal.

The brand new cargo vessel was had come from Rotterdam for unloading the cargo of sand and reportedly got stuck at the Odins Bridge due to a sandy bottom.

Blocked traffic:

Due to the vessel running aground, the Odense Canal was blocked since the vessel was drifting perpendicular to the fairway.

The vessel was successfully refloated and was berthed in Odense for further inspection.
