6 Missing After Ship Sinks in China

On May 16, six people were reported missing after a cargo vessel sank off China’s Fujian Province.

What happened?

The cargo vessel was enroute to Fuzhou City when it sank in a sea area off east China’s Fujian Province. The eleven crew members onboard the cargo vessel jumped into the water after the vessel started sinking.

Six people missing

Among the eleven crew members, six people were reported missing and a search operation has been initiated by the local maritime search and rescue center to trace the missing crew members via ships and helicopters.
