On Monday,Tokyo and its surrounding areas experienced an earthquake. Japan Meteorological Agency informed that the earthquake was measured at 5.6 magnitude and no Tsunami warnings were issued.
The U.S. Geological Survey has measured the earthquake at 5.3 and no damages or injuries were reported. The earthquake shook the buildings as well as the trains halted, including Tokyo Metro subway lines.The airport runways were checked after the tremor,and the Haneda airport at the capital was normal.
It is to be noted that Japan, not only “the Land of rising Sun”, but also “The Land of World’s most Seismically Active Nation”, experienced a massive quake and Tsunami on 11 March 2011 – where the death toll summed up to 20,000 people.
