GTT Receives LNG Carrier Tank Design Order from DSIC

  • GTT received an order in Q3 2024 for tank designs for two LNG carriers from DSIC on behalf of COSCO Shipping.

On 10 October 2024, GTT announced that it had received an order in the third quarter of 2024 from its partner, the Chinese shipyard Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC). This order is for the design of the tanks for two new Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers (LNGC), placed on behalf of the well-known Chinese ship-owner COSCO Shipping.

Tank Design and Capacity Details

The two LNG carriers will each have a capacity of 175,000 m³. GTT will design the tanks for these vessels.

It will incorporate the advanced Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by the company. It is famous for its reliability and efficiency in LNG transportation.

Expected Delivery Timeline

The delivery of these vessels will be in the third quarter of 2027.

This timeline aligns with the growth of LNG transportation and the increasing global demand for efficient and advanced LNG carriers.
