China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) has successfully delivered the seventh car carrier for South Korea’s H-Line Shipping. This impressive vessel, capable of carrying 8,600 cars, stretches 200 meters long and 38 meters wide. It’s equipped with both LNG and traditional fuel propulsion systems, as well as a cutting-edge smart ship management system, reports Port News.
H-Line Shipping’s Fleet Expansion
Since 2021, H-Line Shipping has been on a roll, ordering four 7,000-car dual-fuel carriers and three 8,600-car dual-fuel carriers from GSI. This consistent strategy underscores their commitment to expanding their fleet, with a focus on cleaner, more efficient propulsion technologies.
