On November 18, a cargo vessel reportedly ran aground on a breakwater located at port in Japan.

What happened?

A 499 ton cargo vessel ‘Eika Maru’ reportedly ran aground on a breakwater at Tomakomai port, Hokkaido.

Stormy weather blamed:

The running aground was blamed on stormy weather. The vessel was blown when it was trying to enter the port.

Crew members rescued:

The four crew members onboard the vessel were rescued. Fortunately, none of the crew members onboard the vessel were injured or oil pollution was reported.
