Flooded Cargo Ship Limps Along Coastline

Cargo ship with 12 crew on board limping along the coastline, South China sea, moving along coastline at a slow speed, reports Maritime Bulletin. 

What happened?

Cargo ship CONG THANH 27 with 12 crew on board reportedly flooded in the South China sea off Vietnam coast north of Danang, moving along the coastline at a slow speed. 

According to reports, water ingress started early in the morning Oct 7, while the ship was en route from Hai Phong to Hai Tho, southern Vietnam. 

The ship reduced speed and headed for the coast. As of 1600 UTC, the latest available AIS position was dated 0900 UTC Oct 7.
