Global Maritime Forum Elects New CEO

  • Global Maritime has announced Johannah Christensen as the new CEO.

Global Maritime Forum recently announced Johannah Christensen as Chief Executive Officer, while expanded its executive management team, following a regular board meeting, says a press release published on their website.

New appointments

Namely, Managing Director, Head of Projects & Programmes, Johannah Christensen, was appointed Chief Executive Officer, while Head of Research, Kasper Søgaard, was appointed Managing Director, Head of Institutional Strategy and Development.

Shaping global seaborne trade

“I am humbled by the trust and confidence that the Board of Directors has placed in me. The Global Maritime Forum is fortunate to have a dedicated and skillful team. Together, we look forward to further strengthening our efforts to shape the future of global seaborne trade to increase sustainable long-term economic development and human wellbeing” says Johannah Christensen, Chief Executive Officer of the Global Maritime Forum.

Women in maritime

Speaking of women in maritime community, the UK Chamber of Shipping recently confirmed Sarah Treseder as its next Chief Executive, replacing Bob Sanguinetti. At the same time, world’s largest shipping association, BIMCO, elected Sabrina Chao of Wah Kwong Shipping Holdings Limited as President.
