Under this order, the French firm will design the tanks for six 174,000-cbm LNG carriers

All of the newbuilds will feature GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane technology.

In addition, Hyundai Heavy will build two of these vessels on behalf of an Asian shipowner and two for a European owner, according to GTT.

GTT said Hyundai Samho would build two LNG carriers for a European owner as well.

The Korean yards would deliver the ships between the last quarter of 2023 and the third quarter of 2025, GTT said without revealing any additional information.

The Hague-based LNG giant said Hyundai Heavy and Hyundai Samho would build these vessels and start delivering them from 2023.
