An investigation has been launched into the death of a crew member who was found dead onboard a vessel.
What happened?
A 36-year-old crew member Alfred Ismaili was reportedly found dead onboard the vessel ‘SNM Explorer’, when it reached the Alexandra Dock in Kings Lynn.
Suspicious death
The crew member was found dead with severe blood force injury to his chest. An inquest was opened in Norwich on Feb 15, Johanna Thompson, assistant coroner for Norfolk.
Investigation launched
After the coroner’s report, the Marine Accident Investigation Branch has launched an investigation into the incident and all the crew members are being questioned. A pre inquest review has been set for August 16.
