New Container service by a container ship operator Qingdao Marine Noah’s Ark Shipping (QMNA) is in the offing, reports say.

The Noah’s ark shipping company was operating in North China-Japan service from 2008 to 2013 and they now have plans to relaunch an intra-Asia container service, loading a feeder teu by teu.

In the past the QMNA shipping operator has chartered the 1,732 teu from Germany’s Carsten Rehder Schiffsmakler und Reederei for a period of 6-12 months, according to alphaliner.

QMNA was originally incorporated in 2008 as a NVOCC and became a vessel operating carrier in August of that year with the launch of a North China-Japan service that was taken over in 2013 by Chinese regional carrier Goto Shipping.

QMNA reincorporated itself again in Hong Kong last August.

Experts questioned the timing of Noah’s Ark’s return given how flooded the boxship market is at present.
