Cargo Ship Ran Aground Off Tysnesoy

Norwegian fish carrier, with harvest, ran aground after hitting  a rock got two of its ballast tanks breached in the incident on Friday.  The incident happened when the general cargo ship was transiting the narrow strait east of Tysnesoy, at around 0300 LT Apr 15.

Later the seven crews of the ship helped to refloat the vessel with its own means, in less than half an hour and proceeded to Leirvik.

Reports say that the breached hull is under expert inspection and there was no injuries to crew or environmental damage resulted from the incident.
