Damaged Container Ship Leaves Without Unloading Cargo

On December 21, a container vessel reportedly left the Maldives port without unloading its cargo due to its faulty crane.

What happened?

The container ship ‘Miami Trader’ had reportedly docked in the Male port suffered damages to its crane after a container vessel had reportedly struck it. The container vessel was unable to unloading its cargo due to its faulty crane.

Managed to unload only half:

The container ship with a 25,000-ton capacity, had managed to unload only half of its cargo and it reportedly contained goods belonging to prominent Maldives companies, some of which are expected to receive a significant loss from its departure.

The ship is currently on its way to SriLanka to fix its faulty crane.
