The construction of dual-ships are a new trend which are taking over Arctic shipbuilding companies.

New trend

Aleksey Dudal, representative of Aker Arctic confirmed the news after he was posed the question in Helsinki. He further explained about vessels running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and on conventional fuel.

Proposals drafted

Aleksey Dudal, Aker Arctic is currently preparing proposals on designs of vessels for servicing the Yamal fields among which Russian orders account for about 50% of the company’s order backlog.
