What happened?
A minor fire broke out on a cargo ship just 12 miles off Jumeirah beach, police said on Sunday.
According to Dubai police, the fire started in the Captain’s cabin but nobody was injured.
Fire brought under control:
Dubai civil Defence teams rushed to the ship and extinguished the fire at 8:18pm.
“The crew were rescued by the coast guards. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported,” the spokesman told Gulf News.
The details about the number of crew members present on-board or the reason behind the fire were not immediately known.
