American servicemen in South Korea helped coordinate an extraordinary rescue as women and babies were dropped from the fourth storey of a burning building into a safety blanket.
Bill Frost recorded the incredible rescue and uploaded the footage on his Facebook page on Saturday.
“One of my stellar Airmen / teammates, MSgt Daniel Raimondo, helped save 3 women and 3 babies from this burning building outside Osan Airbase, Korea, by rallying folks on the street to help him hold a blanket while convincing mothers to toss their babies and then themselves from four stories to escape the flames,” he wrote. “You’re awesome Danny!”
The video shows women and children dangling out of the window as black smoke billows from the floor below. They are then dropped to safety below.
