Ships are vulnerable to cyber attacks and this vulnerability was further highlighted when live attacks were carried out.

The demonstration was carried out by Naval Dome’s engineering tean who carried out a series of cyber attacks on live navigation systems, engine and other machinery control systems.
The attacks which were executed were capable of shifting the vessel’s position, misleading the radar, enabling and disabling machinery, overriding fuel control systems, triggering steering and ballast systems.
