No Shore Leave! Notifies Port of Fujairah

The Port of Fujairah suspends all shore leave as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus, reports Seatrade Maritime News.

According to shipping agents GAC, no crew will be allowed to disembark from vessels calling at either

  • the Port of Fujairah or
  • the Port of Fujairah offshore anchorage.

The Port of Fujairah notified agents on 15 March that :

  • No shore leave including to seafarer clubs and duty free is allowed. 
  • Crew disembarkation will only be allowed in the case of an emergency and is subject to approval of the Harbour Master.

The new measures restricting shore leave are effective immediately until further notice.
