A Manifold Times news source states that Énergir reaches 100th LNG bunkering milestone at Port of Quebec.
100th LNG Bunkering hub
Natural gas company Énergir on Friday (3 December) said it has completed its 100th liquefied natural gas (LNG) milestone at the Port of Quebec.
The 100 bunkering operation was conducted during a refuelling job to five Desgagnés vessels, a Quebec shipowner who adopted the use of LNG as a marine fuel and fully participated in the implementation of bunkering system, it states.
Increasing stringent standards
LNG is a cleaner energy alternative to petroleum products and enables shipowners to comply with increasingly stringent standards for pollutant emissions on waterways in North America and in controlled emission zones around the world.
