On February 25, 1836 the American Inventor Samuel Colt patented the Revolver.
The Industrialist who is today known as creator and inventor of the most popular gun design, a six-barreled Colt pistol called “revolver“, instantly became famous after this discovery, reports History section of Gaston Gazette.
A Pioneer in the Field
As a founder of” Colt’s Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company “(today known as “Colt’s Manufacturing Company”) he greatly popularized the use of interchangeable parts, assembly lines and simple gun designs which made him one of the most influential and wealthiest industrialists of his time.
Historians’ Verdict
According to many historians, his successes and contributions in the field of military arms paved the way for the expansion of America influence across the world.
