  • 3,800-ton crane of Chinese offshore construction crane vessel collapsed last week.
  • The crane collapsed during wind farm installation works off Lufeng, Guangdong Province, South China sea, east of Hong Kong.
  •  The crane on the Yuhang 58 vessel collapsed onto the vessel when the arm broke during installation.
  • No causalities and injuries reported.

Crane Crash damages

Crane seems to sustain serious damages. The boom crash happened due to faulty hoisting brake.

The vessel was deployed in Guangdong Shanwei Houhu offshore wind farm construction project, installing monopile at the moment of an accident.
