The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has announced that 42 private companies operating at the port have voluntarily aligned themselves with the Valenciaport 2030 Zero Emissions strategy, reports Offshore Energy.

Decarbonisation in Ports

In a statement, the APV said that – in addition to supporting the zero emissions commitment – the companies are taking part in training and awareness-raising. In support of this, a training course on ‘Decarbonisation in Ports’ and a SEANERGY workshop on the energy transition were recently held in the classrooms of the Valenciaport Foundation.

The companies taking part in the scheme will be working towards reducing their fuel, energy and water consumption and increase their use of cleaner alternative energy sources.
