The Colombian police have reportedly found 87 kilos of cocaine hidden in the closed compartment onboard a bulk carrier.
What happened?
The secret stash was found on the bulk carrier Nord Manzallino at Barranquilla, Colombia, during vessel’s stay during May 17 – May 21.
According to the local media, the vessel was loaded with coal and bound towards Brazil, but according to AIS, she left Barranquilla on May 21 and is heading to Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Cocaine seized:
The officials have reportedly seized the cocaine packages from the hidden compartment. There were no reports available on crew members. An investigation has been initiated to determine where the cocaine originated.
