Leopard on a tanker?

The workers were shocked to see a leopard on a ship anchored at ship recycling yard in Alang.

As there were less or no movement of workers in the area due to lockdown, the leopard might have entered the vessel from somewhere near by.

According to sources, nearly half of the ship was cut for recycling. The leopard was sighted on the half cut tanker King Kong 2 beached on plot no, 153 of the Alang ship recycling yard.

According GMB officials, there are 65 vessels under recycling in Alang.

Steps taken to catch the leopard

After it was spotted, the leopard sneaked into the ship and did not come out. Police and the forest department officials were alerted by the ship breaking yard officials.

Cage was set

A cage was set up, but the leopard did not enter it.

Tranquillizing dart

Authorities decided to shoot it with a tranquillizing dart. However, they could not do so, as the leopard did not come out.

No way to escape

There is no other way for it to escape as it is water on all sides. Officials still wait to spot it again!
