Chemical Tanker Suffers Serious Breakdown!

Chemical tanker that suffered serious engine failure was moved to a ship repair yard, reports Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

One of the two engines of Chemical tanker DACIL failed while leaving Bilbao Spain, on May 27, bound for La Coruna. 

The tanker was allowed to continue her voyage at a reduced speed. She reached La Coruna on May 29.

Inspection findings 

Inspection was carried out and it was found that her crankshaft was in need of fixing. The repairs will take about a month. The tanker was moved to a ship repair yard, to be dry-docked, probably.
