Chief Engineer of an LPG tanker dies on board of the ship on Jun 10.  He is 43 years old from China and had died due to cardiac arrest, while on duty.

A recently published article in FleetMon written by  Mikhail Voytenko reports the death of chief engineer onboard of a LPG tanker while on duty.

What happened?

Chief Engineer of an LPG tanker EPIC ST.KITTS died on board of the ship on Jun 10, when tanker arrived at Mongla port. According to preliminary examination, 43-year old Chinese national died from a heart attack, while working.

Aftermath of the incident

His body was taken to hospital for examination, to be transferred later to China, he’s from Hubei province, according to his passport. He was working on EPIC ST.KITTS during last seven months. During last 3 months, tanker was trading in Bay of Bengal waters.
