Bulk carrier ADRIENNE arrived at Ancona port, Italy, on Sep 30, from Brazil via Spain. Anti-drug police team with trained dogs started a searched for cocaine shortly after her arrival.
Cocaine in store rooms
216 kilo of cocaine, wrapped in packages, were found in one of ship’s storerooms. One crew was arrested.
Investigation triggered
Investigation is underway. It was reported that the police were tipped off on an incoming cocaine shipment.
