Cargo ship crew member seriously injured after fall into cargo hold, reports Turnto10.com.
Traumatic injuries
A cargo ship crew member was seriously injured after falling 20 to 30 feet into the cargo hold on Oct 24, evening.
According to Providence Fire Fighters Local 799, the crew member suffered multiple traumatic injuries to the head and back.
Firefighters responded to the scene at Fields Point Drive in Providence.

Rescue team
They were able to rescue the man from the ship using a tower ladder, firefighters said. He was then taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
About the ship
The ship is described as a 600-foot-long bulk concrete carrier, coming from Turkey. Its destination was unclear.
