A cargo vessel hit the seawall of a mall in Pasay City due to strong typhoon winds, Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

Cargo Ship Peter Roenna hit the seawall of a mall in Pasay City due to the strong winds brought by typhoon “Ulysses”.

The ship was reported to have been anchored in Manila Bay since at least late 2018. She got dragged anchor and drifted on an embankment in Pasay City, Manila, during typhoon passage.

Removal operations

According to reports, no crew or watch team were on board.

The local chief executive said they have already coordinated with the Philippine Coast Guard regarding the vessel.
