Container ship MENTARI CRYSTAL capsized with her starboard resting on bottom along pier at Teluk Lamong Terminal, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, at night Nov 15.
There were 137 containers on board at the time of the incident. According to reports, the ship would have become highly unstable due to faulty ballasting and container stowage.
Damage & assistance
It was reported that the crew were safe. Containers recovery operation was launched. No further information available, as of morning Nov 17.
