Milaha Group Announces New CEO

The Milaha provides integrated transport and supply chain solutions with core interests in maritime transport and logistics.  Their operations range from ocean transport and offshore support services to third party logistics and ancillary solutions.

On 13th September 2015, the company announced the appointment of Mr. Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai as their new CEO and  President.  He takes the reigns from his successor Mr. Khalifa Ali Al-Hetmi.

Mr. Al-Mannai comes with a varied and rich experience in the fields of LNG, gas to liquids, condensates, shipping and commercial marketing with the various posts he has held.  He previously served with Qatargas, where he was in charge of commercial planning and resource allocation.  He has also led as the commercial head of UK’s South Hook LNG Terminal, one of the largest LNG re-gasification terminals in Europe.  This terminal is known to regulate a massive portion of the entire UK’s gas requirements.

Mr. Al-Mannai is quoted to have said, “I’m extremely humbled and proud to be entrusted with this opportunity by Milaha’s Board of Directors. Milaha is an institution in Qatar and an integral part of Qatar’s economy and I share Milaha’s ambition to continue to expand its horizons in Qatar and abroad.”

Milaha’s Chairman Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani said, “We are very pleased and excited to have Mr. Al-Mannai join the Milaha family and look forward to his leadership in continuing our journey of sustainable growth.”
