Yangzijiang Shipbuilding signed a new ship order agreement with Seaspan Corp, the world’s largest independent container ship owner, including 10 + 5 70,000TEU new Panamax LNG-powered container ships.
Delivery by 2023
The design of FGSS and tank body shall be completed by Yangzijiang itself. This batch of new ships is planned to be delivered successively from October 2023. The value of these new ships is the US $1.05 billion, and the shipbuilding funds will be composed of cash and some loans held by Seaspan.
