What happened?
3 Syrian workers in Beirut port inhaled poisonous gas emitted by cattle feed on board of livestock carrier on Sep 3.
Feed was soaked by sea water, which entered the compartment through porthole after the ship developed list, and that triggered gas emission.
Rescue efforts
2 workers lost consciousness, but Civil Defense team of rescuers managed to take them out, alive.
Third worker unfortunately, died on the spot.
