A bunker freighter sank after it collided with a chemical tanker in the Singapore Strait. The reports stated that only 6 crew members out of 12 have been rescued while the search for the other 6 members are still in progress.
Maritime and Port Authority(MPA) along with Police Coast Guards have responded to the incident by deploying two patrol crafts and five boats respectively. Additional assistance from a merchant chemical tanker has been received. The rescued crew were sent to the hospital.
