Nigeria’s Shebah Exploration & Production Company Ltd (SEPCOL) reportedly informed that dark flames had completely blanketed the Trinity Spirit floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel after the blast.

A group of highly specialized government investigators examined the explosion site on Saturday but refused to share any comments.

SEPCOL’s website mentions that the Trinity Spirit is the key oil production unit for OML 108. It also covers 750 square km of water off the Niger Delta, ranging from 30 meters to 213 meters in terms of depth.
