2022 has started with a bang for the bunker industry. After 21 years of relative quiet, we are suddenly facing contamination by organic chlorides which has been supplied to 200 ships of which 80 vessels have reported problems.
Solutions for problem fuels
As always Viswa was the first one to cover this with a Technical update date March 9th 2022. Considering Viswa’s long association in finding solutions for problem fuels, we also circulated a podcast providing an overview of the problem. This has been very well received.
We felt that communication should not be one sided. We would like to know what you feel and clear some of the questions and doubts you may have arising out of this incident.
