Valaris Seals Fresh Deals for Its Drilling Units

According to  New York-listed offshore driller Valari’s latest fleet status report Valaris have secured fresh contracts and extensions, says an article published by Splash.

Two-well campaign

An unknown large operator has hired the 2014-built drillship Valaris DS-12 for a two-well campaign off Angola and the Republic of Congo beginning in the first quarter of 2023. 

The contract has a total value of $26.2 million.

Contract extension exercised

TotalEnergies has exercised a one-well contract extension for the drillship Valaris DS-15 off the coast of Brazil. 

The option is a direct continuation of the current firm programme, with a 100-day expected duration.

Secured Deal with Australia

The Valaris 107 jack up rig, built in 2006, has been given a one-well contract with an unknown operator in Australia, starting in July 2022 and lasting 37 days at a day rate of $112,000 per day. 

Eni has also signed a one-well deal with the same rig, with operations starting in August and lasting for a cost of $115,000 per day.

Six-well plug

The 2011-built jackup Valaris Norway has received a 29-day extension with Harbour Energy and a 14-day extension with BP in the UK North Sea. 

The rig will also work for Centrica Storage on a six-well plug and abandonment campaign that will last until January 2023.
