Ship refurbishment
Before 7:30 am on June 22, Oceania’s Sirena Cruise ship berthed in Greencastle Harbour, close to Co. Derry.
Mid-size cruise ship Sirena, which underwent a 2016 renovation, has been in service with Oceania Cruises for six years. Oceania Cruises is a division of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
Regatta, Insignia, and Nautica are the three other sister ships of the ship.
It is said that the ship received a $40 million refurbishment in 2016 over the course of 35 days in Marseille, France.
Interiors
The cruise ship has a 19.5-foot draught and measures 593.7 feet long by 83.5 feet wide.
There are eleven decks total, nine of which are for guests. It offers double-occupancy rooms that can accommodate 684 visitors. There are 400 crew members on board.
With six Owner’s suites and four Vista suites, Sirena provides a relaxing vacation for travellers wanting an opulent stay.
In addition to other amenities, the suites come with a flat-screen TV and a minibar that is chilled. These apartments also come with twice-daily maid service and 24-hour butler service.
Other room types are Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms, Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms, Ocean View Staterooms, Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms, Veranda Staterooms, Inside Staterooms, and Ocean View Staterooms.
