Following a coronavirus surge in Australia, Carnival reintroduced mask mandates on all seven of its brands operating in Australia and the region, reports Seatrade Cruise.
Masks at all times
They are Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises Australia, P&O Cruises World Cruising, Cunard, Holland America Line and Seabourn.
Passengers and crew must wear masks at all times when indoors (except when eating and drinking) and outdoors when they cannot socially distance and when on company transfers.
Masks are also required during embarkation and disembarkation.
Negative COVID-19 test
All passengers, except those with medical exemptions, must be vaccinated and all passengers and crew must return a negative COVID-19 test before boarding.
Passengers who contract COVID-19 must isolate for a minimum of five days and only come out of isolation after returning a negative Rapid Antigen Test.
Close contacts will be required to test daily before leaving their cabin and will be required to dine and drink in separate areas to other passengers.
These new measures follow the return of Majestic Princess to Sydney on November 12 after a cruise to New Zealand with 800 cases of COVID-19.

“They are critical to the safe operation of an industry so many Australians rely on for their livelihood and for our guests who have been waiting years to join us on a trip of a lifetime.”
