Singapore-based fuel and lubricant distributor PS Energy Group said through its subsidiary PS Energy Pte Ltd, it received the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) for its biodiesel products.

The company’s biodiesel offerings are used in both marine and land applications.

International Sustainability and Carbon Certification

The ISCC is a globally recognised sustainability certification system that aims to implement environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable production and use of all kinds of biomass in global supply chains. An ISCC certification helps customers correctly identify the sustainably sourced from the non-sustainably sourced biofuel offerings.

Patrick Ng, the company’s Executive Director, said: “With this recognition, customers of PS Energy are assured of the transparency, traceability, and sustainability qualifications of the biofuel components in the company’s biodiesel offerings. Our biodiesel products only use sustainably sourced Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester (UCOME).”

Sean Chua, the group’s Managing Director, adds: “This certification shows our strong commitment to supporting the Singapore government’s goals towards circular economy. With our biodiesel products, we aim to provide our customers with options as well as assurance that they are getting the right product to achieve their goals of reducing their carbon footprint.”

Manifold Times previously reported Singapore marine fuel supplier CNC Petroleum Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of PS Energy Pte Ltd, was planning to expand its product portfolio to include bunker biofuels.
