BLRT Repair Yards’s Lithuanian yard has welcomed the Roro cargo vessel, the Delphine, reports Project Cargo Journal.

This is the largest car carrier vessel they have repaired to date.

Built in 2018, the Delphine sails under the Maltese flag, and is owned by the Luxembourgish company, Shiplux XII. The vessel is 234.06 metres long and 35.33 metres wide, with a gross tonnage of 74,273 metric tonnes. It is managed by the Hong Kong-based ship management company, Anglo-Eastern.

The vessel arrived for repair and maintenance at the Western Shiprepair’s yard in the port-city of Klaipėda, Lithuania in mid-January. There, the vessel was repaired at floating dock 12, the largest floating dock in the Baltics.

The vessel underwent its 1st special survey, an overhaul of the steering and propulsion group including five thrusters, the installation of the foundations for wind rotors, and other routine jobs.

This is not the first collaboration between BLRT Repair Yards and Anglo-Eastern. A few years ago, the BLRT Repair Yards in Klaipeda repaired Federal type bulk carriers managed by Anglo-Eastern.
