One of the main global sources of greenhouse gas emissions is coal. As a result, coal doesn’t immediately come to mind when discussing clean, green energy. Yet, many of the long-forgotten and once-polluting coal mines have been given a second chance and are now being used to heat houses, workplaces, and other buildings.
