Several startups have promised to build residential cruise ships over the past few years, with some set to sail in the future, as reported by Business Insider.
Luxury cruise ships
However, there is only one large residential cruise ship currently in operation, called The World, which has been sailing around the world for the last 20 years. The World takes approximately 150 travelling families on a circumnavigation of the world every two to three years. Living at sea provides convenience as travellers can explore the globe in the comfort of their own floating homes without the hassle of booking flights, transfers, and hotels or creating their own itinerary.
