Shortsea shipping player Wilson placed an order for the construction of six 3,800 dwt newbuildings, plus an option for eight more, says an article published on Heavyliftpfi.
Optimised hull design
Wagenborg, meanwhile, is pressing on with EasyMax newbuilds.
The general cargo vessels will be equipped with systems for optimal resource utilisation and features an optimised hull design. The plan is for the newbuildings to be ready for delivery by early 2025.

Meanwhile, Netherlands-headquartered Royal Wagenborg has started construction of its fourth EasyMax general cargo vessel at the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard. It is scheduled for delivery in 2024.
The EasyMax will have a cargo capacity of 14,000 tonnes. It is the fourth in a series of vessels built for the carrier at Royal Niestern Sander.
