Bridging Continents with Efficiency
Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) are the backbone of vehicle transportation across the world’s oceans. These specialized vessels optimize the movement of automobiles, trucks, and other rolling cargo. At Deltamarin, we take pride in our extensive experience, enabling us to collaborate closely with shipping companies to develop state-of-the-art PCTC vessels that adapt to the evolving demands of various owners.
Deltamarin’s Vision
China’s leading electric car manufacturer, BYD Auto, has commissioned China Merchants Industry to build 4 x 9200 CEU PCTCs based on Deltamarin’s concept design. The vessels, powered by LNG, are tailor-made for BYD’s specific trade requirements. Deltamarin will further contribute to the shipyard’s success by providing full basic and detail design services. The delivery of the first vessel is set for 2025.
Deltamarin’s Expertise
Swiss-based Sallaum Lines, a prominent global RoRo cargo shipping company, has ordered 4+2 x 7400 CEU LNG-powered vessels from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard. Deltamarin had previously developed the concept design for these innovative vessels during the spring of 2023. Continuing this fruitful collaboration, Deltamarin will work on the basic and detail design of the vessels, with deliveries scheduled from 2026.
Sustainable Shipping Solutions
China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has entrusted Deltamarin with a groundbreaking project involving 2+4 x 9300 CEU methanol-fueled vessels. Deltamarin’s concept for CMES paves the way for eco-friendly solutions in the PCTC industry. By providing full basic and detail design services, Deltamarin is actively contributing to CMES’s vision of sustainable and efficient maritime transportation. The first vessel is slated for delivery in 2026.
